  3. I don't think I'm going to try the Bloody Mary trick at home just yet! Perhaps one of you could see if it works?

Sounds creepy enough to me though!

Wait a minute - Mrs McCree-Boyle just told me that she's going to try it! Might be just me on Monday then :(

  4. Sounds like an old wives tale that is probably just nonsense. Or is it? Will wait to see if Mrs McCree-Boyle is in before I try it!
Sounds like a good idea for a warning / premonition for a chiller - some sort of chant / rhyme that the characters dismiss as silly but strangely comes true.

  5. I agree Kathleen. Would work well in a similar setting to The Ten Steps. Perhaps a brother and sister could be trying to scare one another while their parents are away. I wonder what they would do if Bloody Mary actually appeared!

  6. Lady May Abel Smith born Princess May of Teck (May Helen Emma Abel Smith) (23 January 1906 – 29 May 1994) was a descendant of the British Royal Family, a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria. From her birth, she was known as Princess May of Teck, a title in the Kingdom of Württemberg. She was later styled The Lady May Cambridge, after the British Royal Family and its relatives ceased using their German titles in 1917, and Lady May Abel Smith after her marriage in 1931

  7. Kate Barlow first starts out as Miss Katherine, Green Lake's schoolteacher, who is locally famous for her beauty and spiced peaches. When the roof on the schoolhouse leaks, she askes Sam the onion man to repair it in exchange for jars of spiced peaches. She makes up more and more excuses of problems in the schoolhouse to be near Sam. One day, Katherine and Sam kiss. A townperson spots them. The schoolhouse is burned down and Sam, and his beloved donkey, Mary Lou, are killed. Kate is heartbroken. Three days later, Kate shoots the Sheriff and gives him the kiss he asked for the day Sam was killed. She then became the notorious outlaw, "Kissin' Kate Barlow." During this time, she robs Stanley Yelnats the first, strands him in the desert, and buries the treasure. Twenty years later, Kate returns to Green Lake and is confronted by Trout Walker and his wife Linda Miller, (now Walker) one of Kate's former students. Trout and Linda demand to know where the hidden loot is. Kate refuses to tell them. During this time, a venomous Texas Yellow-Spotted Lizard crawls out and Kate allows it to bite her arm. She dies laughing, and says to Trout: "You, your children, and your children's children, will dig for the next one hundred years, and you will never find it."
